Box Score OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. (Nov. 14, 2015) - The Molloy College volleyball team lost its season finale in straight sets to NYIT on Saturday (Nov. 14) at Recreation Hall in Old Westbury. Set scores favored the Bears 25-16, 25-16 and 25-15. Molloy concludes the season with a 6-23 overall record and a 4-12 mark in ECC play while NYIT improves to 24-6 and 12-4 in conference action.
Senior outside hitter
Cassie Palmer (Norwalk, Calif.) led the team one final time with eight kills, while junior middle hitter
Spencer Williams (Los Angeles, Calif.) and freshman outside hitter
Jeanne Reinis (Santa Fe Springs, Calif.) each had seven kills. Williams had 11 digs and sophomore
Samira Escobar (Fountain Valley, Calif.) led the team with 13 digs of her own to go along with five assists. Junior setter
Ally De Kruyf (Norwalk, Calif.) dished out 21 assists and had three kills for the Lions in the effort. Three players for NYIT had a match-high nine kills including seniors Kate Brock (River Edge, N.J.) and Lindsey Abrams (Islip, N.Y.) who were honored along with libero Becky Syers (East Meadow, N.Y.) in a pre-match Senior Day ceremony. Sophomore setter Allison Fowler (Centennial, Colo.) led all players with 37 assists in the victory.
