A kill from senior Shannon Appel (Rockaway Park, N.Y.) and a service ace by junior Danielle Williams (Alba, Texas) were the final two points Molloy needed to go up 2-0 in the match. In the third set, Molloy and its opponent traded seven-point runs in the middle of the action, before Molloy found its offensive rhythm to secure the 25-20 set-win.

Palmer had 10 kills in this one, while De Kruyf had an incredible 28 assists. Moreover, Palmer scooped up 11 digs.

Head Coach Billy Corrao and the Lions return to action tomorrow when they play in Day 2 of the MSU Hampton Inn Tournament. At 10 a.m. EST, the Lions take on Northwestern Okla. State, before sparring against Cameron University at 8 p.m. EST.  LiveStats and video will be available at MolloyLions.com.
