Box Score BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 25, 2014) - On Thursday night, the Molloy College women's volleyball team traveled to East Coast Conference-foe LIU Post in Brookville, N.Y., falling to the Pioneers, 3-0. The final scores of the three sets were: 25-23, 25-10, and 25-18.
In a see-saw type of affair, the Lions' offense fell short by just two points in the opening set; scored a meek 10 points in the middle one; and dropped the last set with 18 points on the scoreboard to the Pioneers' 25.
Sophomore setter
Ally De Kruyf (Norwalk, Calif.) led the match with 16 assists, while junior
Cassie Palmer (Norwalk, Calif.) had four kills, seven digs and two service aces. Freshman libero
Samira Escobar (Fountain Valley, Calif.) had eight digs to pace the squad.
