Box Score BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 23, 2014) - Four players scored in double-figures as the Molloy College men's basketball team defeated Chestnut Hill College, 71-66 on Sunday afternoon. With the victory, the Lions swept both games of the LIU Post Thanksgiving Classic. They are now 4-1 overall on the season, while the Griffins dropped to 0-3.

A back-and-forth affair, the game had five different lead changes. A fast break trey by Billy Cassidy at the 11:16 mark cut the Lions' advantage to four.Â
A 12-0 run by the Griffins tied the score at 26-26 after a three-pointer from Christian Walck at 6:13. The score would even-up three more times before the first half concluded. Chestnut Hill led at the break, 39-34.Â
The start of the second half was similar to the first, as the teams traded points and the lead. Three-straight three-pointers by Marquardt put Molloy up by two, 43-41, 4:24 into the half. The Griffins brought it back up to a three-point lead with less than 11 minutes to go before the Lions answered to regain the advantage.Â
A couple of free throws by junior guard Maurice Gatson (New York, N.Y.) put the Lions ahead by eight with 1:05 remaining, enough to seal the contest. Chestnut Hill would bring it back to within four with nine seconds left, but Molloy held on for the 71-66 win.Â
