Box Score ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Oct. 7, 2014) - The Molloy College women's volleyball squad was blanked by East Coast Conference-foe Dowling College on Tuesday evening, 3-0. With the win, the Golden Lions improved to 11-7 (6-2 ECC), while the Lions slipped to 7-10 on the year and 2-5 in the league.
Dowling won the three sets by the final scores of: 25-20, 25-21 and 25-23.
During the opening set, the Lions recorded three different 4-0 runs, but fell to the Golden Lions, 25-20. The middle set was back and forth between the two clubs. The Lions were always a couple of points away from tying the score down the stretch. Down 20-16, Molloy scored two before Dowling recorded four-straight points. Behind 24-19, the Lions grabbed a pair of points to come to within three. However, the Golden Lions found the final point to go ahead, 2-0 in the match.
In the third and final set of the evening, Molloy trailed 15-8 at one point. Then, the Lions ripped off a 6-1 burst to cut its deficit to 16-14. Following that run, the two squads exchanged points before Dowling notched the final point to clinch the match-victory.

Danielle Williams (Alba, Texas) recorded 14 kills, while sophomore
Ally De Kruyf (Norwalk, Calif.) dished out 26 assists. In the digs department, freshman
Samira Escobar (Fountain Valley, Calif.) scooped up 16.
