(Oct. 4, 2014) - On Saturday afternoon, the Molloy College women's volleyball squad blanked Daemen College in East Coast Conference-play in Rockville Centre, N.Y., 3-0. With the win, the Lions are now 7-8 overall and 2-3 in the ECC, while the Wildcats fell to 1-17 (1-5 ECC).
The scores of the three sets were: 25-12, 25-22, 25-19.
The Lions easily handled the Wildcats in the first set, holding Daemen to just 12 points. The Wildcats finished closer to the Lions in sets two and three, but still came up short.
Molloy posted a .307 attack percentage today. In the kills category, junior
Danielle Williams (Alba, Texas) had 11, while fellow junior
Cassie Palmer (Norwalk, Calif.) recorded nine. Sophomore setter
Ally De Kruyf (Norwalk, Calif.) amassed 31 assists to top the match. With 18 digs, freshman libero
Samira Escobar (Fountain Valley, Calif.) led the contest. The Lions also notched seven service aces.
