Pinto's Tally Helps Men's Soccer to 1-0 Victory Over Daemen

Box Score ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Oct. 19, 2014) - On Saturday afternoon, the Molloy College men's soccer team remained in third place in the East Coast Conference standings with a 1-0 triumph versus Daemen College. In the 70th minute of regulation, senior midfielder Joey Pinto (Lynbrook, N.Y.) blasted in a free kick from 30 yards out to account for the contest's lone goal. The win improved Molloy's record to 5-7-1 overall and 5-2 in the league, while the Wildcats slipped to 5-7 (2-5 ECC).

In net, senior Justin Corke (Valley Stream, N.Y.) stopped one shot. Wildcats' goalkeeper Matt Daddario also made one save.

As a team, the Lions outshot Daemen, 9-4, while corner kicks were even at 3-3.

Head Coach Danny Longo and his team returns to the field when the Lions take on Dominican College in Orangeburg, N.Y. on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The match will get underway at 3:30 p.m.
