Box Score PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (Sept. 7, 2013) - The Molloy College women's volleyball team picked up its first win of the 2013 campaign in the City of Brotherly Love by downing Philadelphia University, 3-2. Behind two sets to none, Molloy fought back valiantly to grab the following three sets to win. With today's result, the Lions improved to 1-2 overall, while the Rams dropped to 0-2.
Sets 1 and 2 went to the Rams by scores of 25-20 and 25-14, respectively. The Lions answered that 0-2 deficit with a thrilling 30-28 third set. Molloy won set four by a score of 25-21 and the final, 18-16.

Sam Berna (Massapequa, N.Y.) was huge for the Lions today knocking down 17 kills. Sophomore
Katie Gallagher (North Massapequa, N.Y.) amassed 15 of her own. In the assists department, rookie setter Aleksandra Stefanovsky (North Chili, N.Y.) posted a match-high 29. Senior
Euginia Anthony (Jamaica, N.Y.) had 29 digs.
For the Rams, Terra Ecker had 14 kills, while Allison Manley and Brittany Olson posted 11 each. Heather Martin and Allyson Schillinger dished out a combined 44 assists, while Morgan McCarthy had 26 digs.
