Box Score SAINT LEO, Fla. (Sept. 20, 2013) - Upon landing in the Sunshine State of Florida, the Molloy College women's volleyball team got settled into its hotel and headed to Saint Leo University for its first of three matches at the Saint Leo Tournament. The first sparring took place Friday evening, which was with host-Saint Leo, and resulted in a 3-0 loss. With the win, Saint Leo improved to 7-3 on the season. Following the defeat, Molloy dropped to 5-5 overall.
The first set was the closest for Molloy as the guests fell to the Lions of Saint Leo, 25-17. Sets two and three were not nearly as close as Molloy struggled mightily (25-9, 25-6).
For Molloy, rookie
Alley Stefanovski (North Chili, N.Y.) dished out nine assists, while junior
Sam Berna (Massapequa, N.Y.) recorded six digs.
For Saint Leo, Hope Lemon had 10 kills, while Jaclyn Mailoto recorded 29 assists. Both of them had four service aces each.
