Men's Soccer Earns Win Against Roberts Wesleyan Behind Dan Brown Goal

Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Sept. 20, 2013) - On Friday evening, the Molloy College men's soccer team earned its second win of the season against East Coast Conference-rival Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, N.Y., 1-0, behind a goal from senior Dan Brown (Queens, N.Y.). With the triumph, the Lions improved to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the league. Following the loss, the Redhawks fell to 0-4-1 overall and 0-1 in the ECC.

In the 21st minute of play, Redhawks' goalkeeper Stephen Buscaglia fumbled the ball in front of the net, which Brown capitalized on for his first goal of the 2013 season.

In net for the Lions, redshirt-junior Justin Corke (Valley Stream, N.Y.) notched five saves in the victory. His counterpart Buscaglia made five saves as well.

Molloy doubled up Roberts Wesleyan on corner kicks (10-5), while outshooting the Redhawks by one (16-15).

Head Coach Danny Longo and his troops return to the field on Sunday when the Lions take on Daemen College in another ECC battle. The opening whistle is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. LiveStats will be available via www.MolloyLions.com.
