Box Score 2 ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Sept. 14, 2013) - On Saturday, the Molloy College women's volleyball team split a tri-match with Merrimack College and Nyack College. Versus Merrimack in the opening match of the day, the Lions fell, 3-0. In the third match of the afternoon, Molloy came back and took down Nyack, 3-0. With the split, the Lions' record changed to 4-3.

In the first match, sophomore
Katie Gallagher (North Massapequa, N.Y.) and junior
Sam Berna (Massapequa, N.Y.) led the team with nine kills each, while freshman
Alley Stefanovski (North Chili, N.Y.) had 16 assists. In the digs category, senior
Euginia Anthony (Jamaica, N.Y.) recorded eight. Moreover, junior
Kerry MacDonald (Floral Park, N.Y.) had 11 assists.
Molloy scored a total of 65 points over the three sets and played close to the Warriors in each. However, the Lions weren't able to find a lengthy points-streak to jump ahead of their guests and lost by set-scores of 23-25, 20-25, 22-25.
Molloy 3, Nyack 0
Despite taking down Merrimack, 3-0, the Nyack Warriors never found a rhythm against the Lions and fell, three games to none. The sets got gradually worse for Nyack and they ended up losing 20-25, 18-25, 14-25.
For the Lions, junior
Shannon Appel (Rockaway Park, N.Y.) had 11 kills, while Gallagher added 10 to finish with 19 for the day. Stefanovski and MacDonald had 20 and 15 assists, respectively, while Anthony contributed 10 digs. Sophomore
Cassie Palmer (Norwalk, Calif.) posted a trio of service aces.
