Following the victory, the Purple Knights improved to 6-1 on the season and 5-0 in league play.

The final scores of the three sets in order were: 27-25, 25-17, and 25-23.

Down 22-20 in the opening set, the Lions found four straight points to grab a 24-22 lead. Two of those points came on service aces from senior Euginia Anthony (Jamaica, N.Y.). The rest of the set went back and forth, with Bridgeport edging out Molloy, 27-25.

For the Lions, junior Sam Berna (Massapequa, N.Y.) notched nine kills, while rookie Alley Stefanovski (North Chili, N.Y.) distributed 14 assists. Anthony had 10 digs.
