Box Score DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Oct. 19, 2013) - The Molloy College men's soccer team played East Coast Conference-rival Mercy College to a scoreless double-overtime tie on Saturday afternoon at Mavericks Field in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. Lions' redshirt-junior goalkeeper
Justin Corke (Valley Stream, N.Y.) put forth a stellar performance today, making nine saves. With the draw, the Lions' overall record changed to 4-7-3, while their ECC slate now stands at 2-3-3. Meanwhile, the Mavericks are now 8-3-2 on the year and 3-2-1 in the conference.
In a staggering difference, the Mavericks outshot the Lions, 24-7, and held the edge in shots on-goal (11-3). However, neither team was able to find the back of the netting. Molloy senior
Jovani Ramos (Valley Stream, N.Y.) had two shots on-goal, while junior
Joey Pinto (Lynbrook, N.Y.) had one.
Mercy had seven corner kicks to Molloy's six.
Between the pipes for the Mavericks, senior goalkeeper Nick Papas made three saves. Jonathan Garcia had three shots on-goal to pace Mercy.

Danny Longo and the Lions return to the field on Wednesday, Oct. 23 when they host the New York Institute of Technology at 7:30 p.m. at the Dean G. Skelos Sports Complex. Prior to the ECC contest, the men's soccer program will honor its seniors in a special on-field presentation:
