(Oct. 12, 2013) - Haakon Sulheim scored a hat trick for the Cougars as Caldwell College downed the Molloy College men's soccer squad in non-league action this afternoon in Caldwell, N.J. With the win, Caldwell improved to 5-8 overall, while the Lions slipped to 4-6-2 after the defeat.
Sulheim scored in the 22nd, 32nd, and 68th minutes of the game for his 10th, 11th, and 12th goals of the season. In the 77th minute, Molloy redshirt-senior
Jovani Ramos (Valley Stream, N.Y.) recorded his first tally of the year. Sophomore
Nyder Chardonnette (Uniondale, N.Y.) headed the ball over to Ramos, who mirrored his teammate and headed the ball past Caldwell goalkeeper Michael Hartmann.
For Molloy, redshirt-junior netminder
Justin Corke (Valley Stream, N.Y.) made four saves, while Hartmann stopped six shots for the Cougars.
The Lions fell to the Cougars, despite outshooting them, 18-11. Caldwell held the edge in corner kicks (7-5).
