In that second set, the two teams were tied at 17-all. Molloy was then able to rip off a 5-2 run to grab a 22-18 advantage. A pair of attacking errors by LIU Post, along with a service ace from freshman
Alley Stefanovski (North Chili, N.Y.) contributed to that run. The Pioneers tried to make it interesting bringing the score to 22-20 in favor of the Lions. However, Molloy rattled off a trio of consecutive points to knot the match at 1-1 and win the set, 25-20. The set ended with a pair of service aces from senior
Euginia Anthony (Jamaica, N.Y.).
