Brian Lima currently serves as the Associate Director of Athletics for Operations, effective September of 2021. In his role, Lima assists with the daily operations of game-day management, facility and venue management, apparel and equipment ordering and maintenance, and transportation scheduling for Molloy's athletic programs.
Previously, Lima spent three years as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities where he was responsible for facilitating the travel arrangements, including lodging, for the Lions as well as leading the day-to-day responsibilities of game-day operations for all of Molloy's athletic programs. For the four years prior, Lima worked as the department's recruiting coordinator, acting as a liaison between the athletic programs and the institution for all recruiting matters, as well as spending two years as the department's graduate assistant. He supervises a staff of one graduate assistant and a varying number of interns, who have gone on to secure employment at the professional and collegiate level of sports.
No stranger to the inner workings of Molloy athletics, Lima first served with Molloy as a student-worker in the department of athletics from September of 2010 to his graduation in 2014. He worked alongside other students in game-day operations for a majority of the sports in Rockville Centre, with duties ranging from scoreboard operations to ticket sales. His experience has also lent him to serve in capacities for conference and regional tournaments.
In 2015, Lima served as a part-time employee for the New York Jets under Events and GameDay Operations Staff. Lima provided full operational support---ranging from setup to breakdown---of all events, including Jets home games.
Lima works at the scorer's table in many different capacities for several New York metro area colleges, including St. John's University. In 2016, Lima was added to the Game Night Stat Crew for the Long Island Nets, the NBA G-League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets and most recently, in 2020, was added to the Game Night Stat Crew for the New York Liberty and Brooklyn Nets.
Lima graduated from Molloy in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Adolescent Education (Spanish 7-12). In December of 2016, Lima also earned a Master of Science in TESOL (Pre-K through 12) from Molloy. Most recently, he graduated from the University of Nevada Reno with an executive graduate certificate in sports management in May of 2022.
