Laurel Fisher enters her third season guiding the Molloy women's cross country program and her second season at the helm of the men's cross country team in 2023. She also serves as an assistant coach with both the men's and women's track and field teams, primarily focusing on the distance/mid-distance runners.
A student-athlete herself, Fisher was a four-year member of the cross country and track and field teams at Fordham University, currently holding three school records. While with the Rams, she was a two-time NCAA Division I East Regional Qualifier (3,000-meter steeplechase), a two-time ECAC Champion, a five-time Metropolitan Champion, and a Penn Relays Champion. For her performances on the track as well as in the classroom, the Garden City native received USTFCCCA All-Academic honors and was named to both the ECAC Academic Honor Roll and the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in addition to receiving the Leader of Distinction Award from Fordham's Leadership Academy.Â
Fisher is currently a member and women's track captain of the Central Park Track Club and is pursuing her Masters in education at Molloy after earned a BS in psychology and a BA in sociology from Fordham in 2019.Â
