Byrne joined the women's rugby staff for the 2022-23 academic year. 

She comes to the Lions while serving as the president of Long Island Women's Rugby, a position she's held since 2018. In her role, she is in charge of over 30 members and organizes scheduling, officials, game procedures, and social media as well as coaching during 7s season. 

By trade, Byrne works in paid social acquisition for Publishers Clearing House in Jericho, New York.

Byrne is a double alumna of Molloy, graduating with a degree in finance and an MBA in Marketing in 2019.
