Molloy University Athletics

Shannon Defliese joined the Lions coaching staff in 2017.

Defliese transferred to Molloy College in 2015, as a graduate student, where she earned IWLCA Academic Honor Roll honors, named East Coast Conference Player of the Week, and made the East Coast Conference Honor Roll.

Before Molloy, Defliese played four seasons at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst  from 2010-14. With the Minutemen, Defliese won four Atlantic 10 Conference Championships.

At Garden City High School, she was a part of a squad that won State Championships in lacrosse in 2007, 2008, 2009, and was a captain in 2010. With the Trojans, she was a three-time All-Conference selection, two-time All-County selection, and an All-American in 2010. 

Defliese is currently an elementary school teacher in the NYC department of education.
