Emily Pepe joined the Lions as the head coach of the women's lacrosse program ahead of the 2023 season. She enters her fourth season in 2026.
The Lions won the program's first-ever East Coast Conference Championship in 2025 after a season of resiliency. Beginning the season 1-8, Pepe's squad rallied together for seven-straight wins to end the regular season and won a share of the ECC's Regular Season Championship. The history-making run began with a 16-15 victory over Roberts Wesleyan in the ECC Semifinal, snapping a nine-game losing streak against the Redhawks. Molloy would then top Mercy for the second time in 2025 to take home the ECC Championship and play in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the program's history.
