Gina Lella began as an assistant coach with the women's bowling program in the team's inaugural 2015-16 season.
A four-time NTCA All-Academic selection while bowling at Adelphi, Lella's performance in the 2011 USBC Eastern Sectional catapulted her squad to a third-place finish at the USBC National Championship.
"Gina will bring a knowledge of the game as both a competitor and a coach that will enhance the training our young squad will need to be successful. Gina also has the academic prowess and maturity needed to serve as a role model" stated Coach Cincotta.
Lella was a stand out scholastic bowler at Lynbrook High School. Since receiving her masters degree in education, she has been teaching science and coaching bowling in the New York City school district. Currently, she teaches at a high school in Freeport, N.Y.
