Hector Blaise enters his second season with the women’s basketball program, working as an intern under Head Coach Joe Pellicane during the team’s historic postseason run to the Sweet 16.
Blaise is primarily responsible for coordinating game film for scouting reports, handling administrative duties, and running the team’s social media accounts. In addition, he assists with recruiting efforts and player development.
Blaise also works as an assistant coach of the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County’s boy’s varisty basketball team.
He also served as St. John’s University’s women’s basketball manager during the team’s 2016 Big East Championship season. Blaise filmed practices and games and was in charge of coordinating the scout team. He has also worked as a coach with the Miami Heat Basketball Camp as well as the New York Knicks Jr. Knicks Camp.
In 2017, Blaise graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor’s in Sport Management, being named to the Dean’s List from 2013-2017. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration at Molloy College.
