Berry joined the women's basketball staff for the 2022-23 season.
Berry has a lifetime of basketball experience, playing both collegiately and professionally in Europe. His Southampton College team advanced to the Elite Eight before he was asked to play in Sweden with a number of teams including Alvik Basketball Club, Sodertalje Basketball Club, and Vaxjo. In five years, the Long Island City native won four Europa Cup Championships.Â
After a return from Sweden, Berry competed in an over-30 travel team and competed against several former NBA players.
Upon retiring from basketball professionally, he worked as a drug counselor before becoming a bus driver in Manhattan.
After his formal retirement, Berry returned to the sport of basketball and pass on his love of the game, instructing children on fundamentals at the Barry and Florence Friedberg Jewish Community Center.
