Christine Verrelle

Christine Verrelle enters her second season as the head coach of the women's basketball team for the 2025-26 season. 

Verelle returned the Lions to the postseason in her first season on the bench in 2024-25. The Lions totaled a 16-15 overall record and 8-8 in East Coast Conference play. The cardinal and white earned a victory in the ECC Quarterfinal before falling to top-seeded Daemen in the ECC Semifinal.

Verrelle joined Molloy's staff in 2019 as an assistant coach. Verrelle remained with the Lions through the 2021-22 season before joining the coaching staff of Holy Family University and helping the Tigers to what was then the program's most successful season in six years, going 20-10 and advancing to the semifinal of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament. She would return to the Lions as an assistant for 2023-24 before officially being named the head coach at the conclusion of the season.

Verrelle was a First Team All-State guard at Archbishop Wood High School, where she led the Vikings to back-to-back PIAA state championships before signing on to play for Dowling College under head coach Joe Pellicane. While with the Golden Lions, Verrelle was a Second Team All-ECC honoree as a senior, the ECC Rookie of the Year in 2012, and ranks in the top-10 all-time in points (1179), rebounds (704), assists (356), steals (181), free throw percentage (85.8), minutes per game (35.8), and three-point field goals made (147). Verrelle led the Golden Lions to the 2012 and 2013 East Coast Conference championships advancing to two NCAA Tournaments, including the 2013 NCAA National Championship.

Following her collegiate career, Verrelle spent one season playing overseas in Ireland competing for the Liffey Celtics in the Women's Premier Basketball League. 
 
Prior to her arrival in Rockville Centre, Verrelle spent four seasons coaching for the Runnin' Rebels AAU organization in her hometown of Philadelphia and one year heading a Under-10 team in Kildare, Ireland. 

A native of Abington, Pa., Verrelle graduated with her MBA from Molloy University in 2021. She resides in Long Beach, N.Y.
