McCabe joined the men's lacrosse coaching staff ahead of the 2022 season with an emphasis on the defense and recruiting.
He previously spent four seasons as the head coach at Suffolk Community College, helping develop the team to its highest national ranking (#7) in a decade, where he was responsible for the day-to-day running of the program including fundraising, practice and game development, recruiting, and student retention. He took the helm after six years as an assistant with the program.
Under his guidance, nine were named to Academic All-Region lists as well as three Academic All-Americans.
McCabe has also served as a club lacrosse coach since 2010, spending time with Havoc Dune Dawgs, Legacy, 91, and United.
McCabe spent two seasons on the lacrosse team at Stony Brook.
