Fitzpatrick joined the men's lacrosse staff ahead of the 2023 season. 

He joins the Lions after a five-year career as a student-athlete on the St. John's University men's lacrosse team as a face-off specialist, graduating in 2022 with a degree in sport management. He was a two-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team recipient and appeared in 23 contests for the Red Storm.

Previously, Fitzpatrick has coached youth lacrosse for the Town of Hempstead and Wantagh Lacrosse. 

He resides in Massapequa, New York.
