McGuinness joined the field hockey coaching staff ahead of the 2022 season as an assistant coach.
McGuiness spent three seasons playing field hockey at SUNY Cortland from 2019-2021. As a member of the Red Dragons, McGuiness appeared in 22 matches making 19 starts in goal. In 2021, McGuinness recorded a GAA of 1.26, totaled 16 wins, and four shutouts. The Carle Place, N.Y. native graduated in 2022 with a degree in criminology and currently attends Molloy where she is pursuing a masters in criminal justice.
In her time at Carle Place High School, McGuinness was named All-State on two occasions, and earned a bronze medal at the 2016 junior Olympics.Â
