Victoria Bellina became the second Head Coach of the Equestrian Team in advance of the 2020-21 academic year, taking over following the retirement of Carole Gerrity, who spent over 40 years in service to the Molloy program.
Bellina joined the Molloy Equestrian Team as an Assistant Coach during the 2018-19 season. She has been a Certified Ride Instructor for over 20 years and has trained at many barns across Long Island. Bellina is a member of USEF/USHJA, IHSA, and IEA. Â
During her time at SUNY Geneseo and the University of Rhode Island, Bellina rode for their respective equestrian teams and was a member of IHSA.Â
Bellina holds a BA/MS in Criminal Justice from Long Island University’s School of Business Management. During her time at LIU, she served as the Teacher’s Assistant for the Western Suffolk BOCES Equine Studies Program at the Thomas School of Horsemanship. Many of her students began as beginners under her instruction and went on to successfully compete at both schooling and rated shows, including at IEA and IHSA Nationals. Bellina is also an IEA steward and frequently judges outreach classes at local horse shows.
Outside of her equestrian work, Victoria co-operates Acme Window Treatments Inc., a family-owned Venetian blind and shade business in East Meadow, NY, established in 1956 by her grandfather.
Victoria owns and operates Vaeda’s Run LLC on her equestrian property in Smithtown, NY where she resides with her husband John, son Matthew, and daughter Hallie. Â
