2018: All-ECC First Team… Started all 13 games he appeared in…Finished tied for third in wins (8) and shutouts (1)…Fourth in strikeouts (67) and ERA (2.91)…Pitched 86.2 inning…Threw a complete game shutout, allowing six hits and striking out six batters against Bridgeport (Mar. 25).
2017: Appeared in 13 contests, earning three starts…Went 3-3 on the season…Struck out four batters through four innings of work to earn a save against Felician (Apr. 24)…Struck out a season-high five batters against Bridgeport (Apr. 1), Caldwell (Apr. 11), and St. Thomas Aquinas (Apr. 29).
2016: Appeared in 11 games, making six starts while posting a 3-2 record and an earned-run average of 3.82...Also earned a save while striking out 19 batters in 35.1 innings pitched...Tossed four innings of two-hit ball in a 14-4 win over Nyack on Apr. 6...Twirled four perfect innings with a strikeout in earning a victory over Post University on Apr. 20 in a 14-5 win...In a start against ECC foe Mercy College (Apr. 24), tossed seven innings of six-hit ball and picked up the win.
Prior to Molloy: Attended Hofstra University but did not play baseball there...Was a three-sport athlete, playing baseball, soccer and basketball at Calhoun High School...Was a 2013 All-County Baseball player and one of the "Top 100 Baseball Players on Long Island"...Member of the 2012 Nassau County and Long Island Class AA championship baseball team.
Personal: Only child of William and Jean Hiss...Father, William, played baseball at Queens College from 1973-75 and was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the third round of the 1975 MLB Amateur Draft...Plays golf and basketball in his spare time...Working towards a career in business management, which is his major.
