Galanoudis enters his sixth season at Molloy University as the Hitting Coach. Under Galanoudis, Molloy's offense has averaged .325 at the plate, won three East Coast Conference Championships, four NCAA Regional Tournament appearances, and has competed in two NCAA Super Regionals. Most recently, the Lions tabbed a .322 team batting average with a blistering 9.2 runs per game in an historic 42-win 2024 season. The team ranked in the top-35 in the nation in batting average and inside the top-20 in runs per game, hits, and total runs scored.
Prior to joining the Molloy staff, Galanoudis served as the Hitting and Third Base Coach at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY in 2018 following a stint as a volunteer assistant with the Hofstra Baseball program in 2017. He joined the Hofstra staff after spending the previous year and a half as an assistant coach at St. Thomas Aquinas College.
Galanoudis was a four-year letter-winner at Molloy. He posted a career batting average of .308 with 188 hits, 110 RBIs, and six home runs in 175 games for the Lions. He was also a three-time All-East Coast Conference selection. Off the field, he served a three-year term as the East Coast Conference representative to the NCAA Division II National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), providing the student-athletes a voice on the NCAA Convention Floor regarding legislation and other key issues affecting Division II student-athletes.
After graduating from Molloy, Galanoudis signed a professional contract with the Las Vegas Train Robbers of the Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs. In his one season, Galanoudis posted a .280 batting average with two home runs and 15 RBIs.
Galanoudis is also an ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer with specializations in Strength & Conditioning and Sports Nutrition along with being Rapsodo Hitting certified. He currently holds a master’s degree in Sports Science & Rehabilitation from Logan University and currently resides in North Massapequa, N.Y. with his wife Amanda.
