No Locker For Racism

nlfr

The "No Locker for Racism" campaign asks student-athletes, coaches, and administrators to take a pledge to eradicate racism in college sports. We don't have all the answers to fix what's been broken for so long. However, we must pledge to do our part in total acceptance, understanding, and empathy regardless of human differences.

Student-Athlete Pledge  Athletic Staff Pledge
We, as Molloy student-athletes, take the pledge to stand side-by-side with those who are discriminated against, misunderstood, silenced, and mistreated.

There is no locker for racism. There is no place in college athletics for racism. We are asking you to join Molloy in our effort to remove racism from all of our locker rooms, playing fields, and athletic and academic departments.

We pledge to spread awareness and shed light on the social inequity that Molloy student-athletes face. Booker T. Washington once said, "we have to cast our buckets where we are." We are athletes, and we are leaders. There is no locker for racism.

Take the pledge with us today to join schools and student-athletes across the country to proclaim our message together.
As leaders of athletic departments and shapers of developing minds, we have to be intentional and committed to the cause of every student-athlete who comes to us. We are asking you to join Molloy in our effort to remove racism from all of our locker rooms, playing fields, and athletic and academic departments.

We, as Molloy staff, hereby pledge the support of Molloy athletics and coaches to eradicating racism from our locker rooms. It is understood that we, as the leaders in athletics, are modeling the behavior that our student-athletes will carry with them into the world.

Coaches and administrators will be role models for positive and productive behavior by signing the pledge and:
  • Placing an anti-racism statement in handbooks and team standards
  • Educating their student-athletes on societal and systemic racism
  • Ensuring that staff composition is open and comfortable for all people of color
