When looking at the Molloy baseball record book, T.J. Greig's name is one that would be very familiar to fans. He still leads the program in both hits (279) and total bases (397) while remaining in the top-five in batting average (.364), runs scored (148), doubles (47), home runs (19), and runs batted in (161).
Greig exploded onto the scene as a freshman, hitting .387 with 70 hits and 44 RBI. Quick to display his prowess at the plate, Greig set the program's single-game record, going 6-for-6 with three RBI against Bloomfield College as a rookie. His career as a Lion continued, garnering First Team All-Conference selection while being recognized by Daktronics, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association and Rawlings/American Baseball Coaches' Association as a Second Team selection as a sophomore, helping Molloy to win its first-ever Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship.
After leading the ECC with 68 hits as a junior, averaging .364 and slugging at .492, Greig was tabbed the league's Player of the Year and was recognized as an All-Region First Team selection by the NCBWA and a Second Teamer by ABCA. In his final season in maroon and white, Greig earned his third straight First Team selection by both the ECC and NCBWA as well as being recognized as Second Team Academic All-District by CoSIDA, leading his team in batting average (.376), hits (76), triples (3), home runs (6), total bases (109), slugging percentage (.540), and on-base percentage (.446).
