How it Happened
  • After going nearly half of the opening quarter without a goal being scored, the teams both found the back of the net within 60 seconds of one another. • Goals from Simick, sophomore Luke Barrera, and graduate student Zach Kroog opened the second frame to extend the scoring streak to five-straight and set the score at 6-1.
  • Preston Steve found the back of the net to break the run, but senior Justin Palulis tallied a man-down goal tor Molloy.
  • Roberts Wesleyan would score three more times before the buzzer sounded for halftime, but goals from Palulis and Simick helped the Lions maintain a four-goal advantage at the break, 9-5.
  • The visitors struck first to cut the deficit to three and outscored Molloy 3-2 over the 15 minute period, but Green would book end the quarter with goals to help keep the home team in front, 11-8.
  • Hammon, Simick, and Kroog rounded out the game's scoring in the fourth quarter to lift the Lions to the victory.
