New Castle, Del. – Bowling alongside 18 of the nation's top-25 programs, the Molloy women's bowling team competed at the Northeast Classic hosted by Sacred Heart University from Friday, January 16 through Sunday, January 18. Following three ddays of competition, the cardinal and white collected 8,581 pins while averaging 171.6 in qualifying and finished the weekend 4-9.
Day One – Baker Format
- The Lions began Friday afternoon taking down Wilmington, 857-791.
- Molloy would face three consecutive top-20 programs over the next three matches, falling to 12th-ranked Wright State, 996-788, 19th-ranked McKendree University, 1,011-956, and sixth-ranked Wichita State, 1,047-869.
- The cardinal and white concluded the afternoon against East Coast Conference foe Daemen and in a tightknit match, the Wildcats came out on top, 799-775, ending the day for the Lions 1-4.
Day Two – Traditional Format
- The Keglers found success ono day two in traditional play, beginning Saturday with a 852-664 triumph over Norfolk State.
- Molloy continued to roll it well in match two, taking down 11th-ranked and host Sacred Heart, 922-894.
- Match three saw the cardinal and white take on second-ranked Vanderbilt with the Commodores coming away with a 1,179-853 victory.
- Up next, Molloy matched up with Holy Family and coming down to the wire the Tigers edged the Lions, 786-778.
- The Lions ended Saturday falling to third-ranked Arkansas State, 1,024-931, to finish the day 2-3 heading into Sunday.
Day Three – Baker Bracket
- Sunday was set for a trio bracket baker play matches.
- Molloy started the day falling to Adelphi, 4-1.
- The Lions took the lanes against Daemen in the days second match. After leading 2-0, the Wildcats came from behind to clinch the mstch victory, 4-2.
- The cardinal and white finished the tournament against LIU. While falling behind 2-0 early, the keglers fought to knot the contest at 2-2 after four games, but the Sharks closed the match out and triumphed, 4-2.
