Men's Lacrosse Downed at Adelphi in NCAA Quarterfinal

Garden City, N.Y. - The men's lacrosse season came to an end this afternoon in the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal. The fifth-seeded Lions fell to the top-seeded Panthers of Adelphi University, 21-7. Molloy had a historic 2025, winning a program-record 16 games and the program's first-ever East Coast Conference Tournament. Adelphi will move on to the Semifinal round against second-seeded Saint Anselm with a 17-1 record.

How it Happened
  • The Panthers started the game with three-straight goals before senior Jack Herzlinger broke the streak to get Molloy on the board and end the first quarter.
  • AU scored twice to open the second frame before junior Tommy Corcoron brought the Lions back within three.
  • Kyle Lewis scored back-to-back goals for Adelphi before the team added another on man-up to lead 8-2 at the half.
  • Junior Brian Green scored first for the Lions in the second half with a man-up goal.
  • The Panthers put up 10 goals in the third quarter to lead, 18-3.
  • Junior Justin Palulis kicked off the fourth frame with a goal.
  • Green added two more before senior Luke Hickam rounded out Molloy's scoring.

  • Green led with four points on three goals and an assist.
  • Corcoron and Hickam each tallied a goal and an assist.
  • Junior Thomas Kofod added an assist for the Lions.
  • Freshman Zachary Maligres went 10-of-19 on face-offs and had a team-leading seven ground balls.
  • Freshman Liam Taylor and junior Jake Taylor each had three ground balls.
  • Junior Shawn McCabe led with three caused turnovers while freshman Aiden Dinnigan added two.
