Sinking Spring, PA – The Molloy women's bowling team battled for the ECC Championship from Friday, March 21 through Saturday, March 22 hosted by Kutztown University at Bowlero Berks Lanes. After two days of baker competition, the Lions were eliminated in the final match of day two to place fourth.
Day One
- Friday began the opening of pool play, where the keglers would bowl five qualifying marches to determine the seeding in bracket format.
- The day started with the Lions picking up a 923-873 victory over Daemen. In the second match Molloy paired with Bryant, but would fall to the Bulldogs, 1,045-958.
- After bowling a bye in the third match, the cardinal and white rallied off two straight victories to end day one. It began with picking up a 892-741 victory over Adelphi and finished topping Saint Anselm, 917-710.
- Molloy finished 3-1 on day one, earning the fourth seed on day two.
Day Two
- Saturday the competition shifted to double elimination format, as all qualifying teams were set for a best-of-seven baker format for the right to earn a spot in the championship match on Sunday.
- The keglers kicked off the day with a 4-3 victory over Roberts Wesleyan, positioning themselves against host number one seed Kutztown.
- Against the Golden Bears the Lions would battle, but eventually would fall, 4-2, moving them into the elimination bracket to take on Adelphi.
- Against its local rivals, the two squads went back and forth in an exhilarating seven game match that saw them tie in the 148 a piece in game two. As the match went on, the teams would tie 3-3 after seven games to set up a tiebreaking roll off.
- In the roll off, Molloy would come out on top, 93-76, to eliminate the Panthers and move on to face Roberts Wesleyan.
- Against the Redhawks the Lions would fall behind 3-1 after four games, but after rolling a match-high 244 in game five Molloy would be eliminated falling to Roberts Wesleyan, 4-2.
