Hackensack, N.J. – The Molloy women's bowling team earned bronze Sunday afternoon at the NJ Open hosted by Monmouth University at Bowler City. Through seven baker games over the weekend, the Lions finished 3-4.
How It Happened
- The cardinal and white kicked off Saturday afternoon against Adelphi. On the back of rolling a 279 baker game in the third game, the Lions topped the Panthers, 1,023-827.
- Molloy finished the afternoon 0-3, falling to FDU (995-912), LIU (905-903), and Monmouth (1,075-913), to finish 1-3 on day one to sit in third place.
- On Sunday, the keglers opened the day against FDU. The Lions would take the rematch against the Knights, 1,019-988.
- Molloy wrapped up qualifying against Monmouth, coming up short, 1,012-850, heading into bracket play.
- In bracket play, Molloy matched back up with Adelphi. Propelled by a 256 game two against the Panthers, the Lions would triumph, 4-0, to secure a third place finish.
