Oceanside, N.Y. - The women's tennis team fell 7-0 to Jefferson to start the 2024 season from Point Set Tennis Center.

The doubles tandem of senior Elena Baughman Saunders and freshman Erin Sanchez recorded the only set win at doubles for the Lions, falling 6-1 to Alycia Veroux and Nicole Hrbkova. 

Sanchez and fellow rookie Ashley Bonilla each won one set in their singles matches as well. 

The team will have a quick return to action, hosting Goldey-Beacom tomorrow (Sept. 8) at 1:00 p.m. from Point Set in Oceanside.
