Seaford, N.Y.- The field hockey team opened Northeast-10 play with a hard-fought 2-1 loss against Mercy University this afternoon at Cedar Creek Park. The Lions now stand at 1-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play, while the Mavericks improve to 4-1 (2-0 NE10).
