Uniondale, N.Y. – The 15
th-ranked Molloy baseball team completed a four-game sweep of the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island Sunday afternoon, defeating the visitors, 12-2, at Mitchel Field. The Lions improve to 34-10 overall and 16-4 in East Coast Conference play, while the Dolphins move to 12-27 overall and 7-17 in league play. 34 wins sets a new program record for wins in the regular season, that was previously set last season (33).
Before the game, the program recognized its 10 members of the senior class:

Billy Fitzgerald,

How it Happened
- Molloy wasted no time cracking the scoreboard in the bottom of the first, junior JJ DeVito led off the frame with a solo home run and Manisero drove in a run with a single to give the Lions a 2-0 lead.
- The cardinal and white continued to stay hot at the plate in the bottom of the second, DeVito started the scoring with an RBI double, senior Aidan Larkin followed with a run scoring single, and Manisero capped the four-run second with a two-RBI double to open a 6-0 lead.
- Staten Island got on the scoreboard in the top of the third following a sacrifice fly to cut the deficit to five, 6-1.
- The Lions got the run right back in the bottom of the frame when Giardino doubled to left-center to reclaim the six-run lead, 7-1.
- In the bottom of the sixth Molloy added to its lead with a three-run inning. McAlonie singled to right field to plate a run and Yip cleared the bases with a two-run home run to open the lead to nine, 10-1.
- Two additional runs crossed the plate for the home team in the bottom of the eighth, Manisero connected for a solo home run and sophomore Sean Serrano drove an RBI triple into the right center field gap to extend the lead, 12-1.
- The road team would plate a run in the top of the ninth, but the Lions would collect the final three outs and secure the victory, 12-2.
Top Performances
- Manisero paced the squad collecting four hits and four RBI.
- DeVito totaled two hits, two runs scored, and two RBI.
- Yip belted his 12th home run of the campaign.
- Junior Patrick Sanchez collected three hits.
