Rockville Centre, N.Y.- The softball team won its fourth-straight game at home this afternoon in a doubleheader sweep of Holy Family University, 6-4 and 8-3. The Lions improve to 6-12 while the Tigers Fall to 3-20.

Game One: Molloy 6, Holy Family 4
How it Happened
- Freshman Sophia Mariottini struck out four of the first six batters for the Lions, not allowing a base runner through two innings of play.
- The Tigers took advantage of two errors in the top of the third before a home run from Lilly Hoban to put Holy Family in front, 4-0.
- Freshman Stevie Dabbadie led off the home half of the fourth inning with an outfield single and scored after a sacrifice bunt from senior Katie Hand and an error from the Tigers defense.Â
- After a lead off walk to graduate student Emma Bachman, fellow graduate student Alex Burns cut the deficit in half with a double to left field in the fifth inning.Â
- Hand singled to start the sixth inning before a walk to sophomore Mae Savage and fielder's choice from sophomore Emily McGurk loaded the bases. Senior Chrissie Huhn sent the ball deep into left field and past a diving Tiger, clearing the bases with an inside-the-park grand slam to put Molloy ahead, 6-4.
- Mariottini sat down the final three Tigers in order to secure the come-from-behind victory.

Game Two: Molloy 8, Holy Family 3
How it Happened
- The Lions' bats went right to work in the second game, taking a 4-0 lead in the first inning with singles from Huhn, and freshmen Stevie Dabbadie and Mariah Cepeda as well as walks to Conrade and Hand. Savage picked up an RBI in the inning with an infield ground out.
- A pair of singles from Dabbadie and Hand brought in three more runs in the bottom of the second inning to give Molloy a commanding 7-0 advantage.
- The Tigers plated two runs in the top of the fourth inning on an outfield single from Hoban.
- A solo home run to right field for Erin Stilton narrowed Holy Family's margin to four in the fifth inning.
- Savage kick started the bottom of the fifth inning with a lead off double.
- Freshman Amaya Page's ground out to first base scored Savage, cementing the Lion's 8-3 victory.
Top Performances
- Dabbadie recorded a career-high three hits and 2 RBI.
- Senior Brianna Macias and junior Natalie Moussa each tallied three strikeouts. Macias tossed four innings and earned her first victory of the 2024 season. Moussa allowed just one hit in three innings of relief.
- Huhn contributed two hits and a stolen base.
- Savage put up a double and an RBI.
