Rockville Centre, N.Y. – For the fourth time in five seasons, the top-seeded Molloy women's soccer team reigns as East Coast Conference Champions, topping the second-seeded Daemen University Wildcats, 4-1. Molloy maintained a flawless record against league opponents and went a perfect 8-0 while home at John A. Darcy Field.
Sophomore midfielder
Isabella Muro was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player, after collecting five points (two goals and one assist) and totaling 11 shots with 10 coming on goal throughout the tournament.

How it Happened
- Molloy had a golden chance right out of the gate with Muro finding the ball on her right foot after a misplay by the Daemen defense, but the attempt was sent just wide of the far post.
- The Lions continued to apply pressure in the 12th minute. Sophomore Madison Keenan put a header on goal that was saved by Daemen goalkeeper Becca Schultz.
- The home team broke through in the 17th minute. Freshman Sarah Cavallo streaked down the right side, sent the ball into the box, and found Muro, who buried it inside the near post to put Molloy in front, 1-0.
- Daemen created its first chance in the 22nd minute with a bouncing ball in the box that found Amanda Nilsson, but the Wildcat midfielder sent it high of target.
- The road team continued to look for the equalizer six minutes later. Forward Kylie Miranto settled in a misplayed ball and fired a shot towards an open goal, but had it go high of the crossbar, keeping the Wildcats off the board.
- Molloy cashed in again in the 34th minute. Keenan received a corner kick from freshman Bella Juliano and headed it towards goal where junior Olivia Ingenito was there to finish it and extend the Lions lead to two.
- In the final 35 seconds of the first half, Daemen threatened to cut the lead in half, but sophomore Elyse Muñoz denied a shot from Kaitlyn Wright to send the contest to the halftime break with Molloy still in front, 2-0.
- The cardinal and white wasted no time in the second half, generating a scoring chance from freshman Jana Strait in the 47th minute. Strait fired a shot from outside the 18-yard box, but the attempt was saved.
- The home team added to its lead two minutes later. Following a free kick, Keenan once again headed it towards goal and it was Ingenito who was there to put into the back of the net to open up a 3-0 lead.
- In the 55th minute Daemen had a chance to crack the scoreboard, but Miranto sent her shot wide of frame.
- Molloy would not allow a shot for the next 15 minutes of action as the back line shut down any chance of a shot.
- In the 72nd minute, the Lions converted a beautiful tic-tac-toe goal. Senior Alessandra Boresellino found Muro inside the 18-yard box, who sent it to freshman Madison Falkowski, who scored off a one-timer shot to extend the lead, 4-0.
- In the 84th minute, Daemen would find the back of the net off a goal from Kaitlyn Wright to cut the deficit to three, 4-1.
