New Castle, Del. – The Molloy women's bowling team began the 2024-25 campaign at the Bud Whitman Memorial Tournament, hosted by Chestnut Hill College. The Lions placed 13
th over the course of the two-day tournament with a total pinfall of 6,639 pins and an average of 166.0.
Day One – Traditional Format
- Molloy kicked off the season against Caldwell and FDU, the Lions would fall to the Cougars and Knights, 1,003-798 and 1,056-856, respectively.
- The Lions then faced LIU in match three. In a close contested back and forth, the cardinal and white were edged by the Sharks, 811-806.
- The Lions concluded day one with a pair of losses to Felician (976-883) and Dominican (913-782), to sit in 13th after day one.
Day Two – Baker Format
- The second day of competition shifted to Baker play, where five players are responsible for two of the 10 frames in each game.
- Molloy began day two against Wilmington, falling to the Wildcats, 929-793. Following the first match, the cardinal and white took on Holy Family where they would fall short, 877-828.
- The afternoon would switch to baker bracket play where the Lions would meet LIU. In the rematch of the day one match, the Lions would fall to the Sharks, 4-0 and finish the tournament in 13th-place.
