Women’s Bowling Places Sixth at CHC Baker Invitational

 
New Castle, Del. – The Molloy women's bowling team opened February competing at the CHC Baker Invitational in New Castle, Delaware. After two days of baker competition, collecting 9,247 pins to average 184.9. The Lions placed sixth, marking the seventh time this season the squad has finished in the top six.
 
Day One
  • The Lions put together a 3-2 performance on Saturday, February 4.
  • After falling to Fairleigh Dickinson to begin the afternoon, the cardinal and white ran off three consecutive match victories. Defeating Howard, 1041-732, Saint Anselm, 972-861, and Kutztown, 868-809.
  • Baker played concluded with the Lions falling to Bloomfield, 967-918, placing the Lions in sixth after the first day of competition.
Day Two
  • Molloy opened Sunday afternoon rallying to three match victories. Taking down Saint Aquinas College, 788-628, Wilmington, 1011-898, and Norfolk State, 1002-867.
  • The Lions concluded the qualifying round against LIU falling to the Sharks, 936-874.
  • The cardinal and white entered bracket play to take on Wagner, where they would fall to the Seahawks, 973-890, to earn a sixth-place finish.
Up Next
Molloy will make a short trip to Babylon Saturday, February 11 to compete in the Suffolk Tournament.
