The men's rugby team opened the home portion of the season at Cedar Creek Park against New Paltz on Sunday (Oct. 1). The Lions were downed 19-5 and 27-5 in the first two games before ending the day with a 19-5 victory.

In the first two games, David Smith and Jeremy Buchalter put Molloy on the board with tries. Buchalter, Tyler Nieves, and Sal Russo each scored tries in the victory with Patrick Whelan making two of his three conversion kicks. 

The Lions will be at Oneonta on Sunday (Oct. 8).
