Sinking Spring, PA - The Molloy women's bowling team competed at the Golden Bear Invite, hosted by Kutztown University. The Lions completed the two-day event with a fourth-place finish for the second consecutive week, going 5-4 overall totaling 8,778 pins while averaging 175.6.
Day One - Traditional
- The Lions opened the tournament against host Kutztown University. The match came down to the wire with Molloy edging the Golden Bears, 934-911.
- The momentum would continue into the next two matches, as the cardinal and white would defeat FDU, 782-744, and Caldwell, 917-796.
- Molloy concluded the afternoon falling to Felician, 923-847, going 3-1 good for fourth after the first day of competition.
- Traditional play was highlighted by sophomore Ashley Hardy who finished seventh individually, averaging 192.8 with a high-game of 218.
- Freshman Samantha Felice collected a 649 series in three games bowled, including a high-game of 263.
Day Two - Baker
- Sunday switched to Baker format where the Lions jumped out to a quick start, picking up victories over Bloomfield (851-681) and Alvernia University (993-806).
- The cardinal and white were cooled off in the following two matches, as the Lions would fall to Mount St. Mary's (907-843) and Chestnut Hill (889-851).
- Molloy would once against face the host Kutztown in bracket play, but would fall to the Golden Bears, 4-1, to place fourth in the event.
