Seaford, N.Y. - The men's rugby team hosted Bard and Drew this past weekend in a round robin tournament. Defeating both Bard and Drew in round robin play, the Lions faced off in a second match against Drew to decide the winner of the weekend. Molloy topped Drew by a score of 17-5.
In the first game of the afternoon, Molloy shut out Bard, 12-0.
Jeremy Buchalter and Joe Rodriguez scored tries two minutes apart with the scoring rounded out with a good conversion kick from
Patrick Whelan.
Against Drew, the Lions came out on top, 17-12. Buchalter accounted for all three of Molloy's trys while Whelan went 1-of-2 on his conversion attempts.Â
In the final round, Buchalter added two more trys to his afternoon while
Salvatore Russo added one of his own. Gabriel Romero made his conversion kick attempt.
