New Castle, Del. - The women's bowling team competed at the Griffin Baker Classic, hosted by Chestnut Hill College. The Lions placed third in the Saturday tournament and seventh in the Sunday portion.
Molloy went 3-1 to open the weekend, starting Saturday afternoon with a three-pin victory over Felician. The Lions also topped St. Thomas Aquinas College, 890-655, and the host Griffins, 917-870, before falling short against Adelphi University, 959-855.
On the afternoon, sophomore
Amanda Scarfogliero was selected to the All-Tournament Team with an 18.9 fill frame average. The maroon and white also enjoyed highlight performances from freshman
Jessica Portela, junior
Amanda Kreush, and freshman Hannah Sklacki.
On Sunday, the Lions went 2-3 to finish seventh. The day ended with two victories over Bloomfield College, 850-777 and 797-778.
Molloy returns to the lanes Feb. 18 at Wilmington University's D2/D2 Invitational.
