Coram, N.Y. – The Molloy women's bowling team participated at the Dezy Strong Classic, hosted by Adelphi University at Coram Country Lanes. The Lions finished 14
th overall, with a record of 5-8 over the course of the three-day tournament, that ran from Friday, October 28 through Sunday, October 30.
Day One – Baker
- Molloy began the tournament with a 3-2 showing in Baker play. Friday afternoon started against Youngstown State where the keglers fell, 1,062-879.
- The Lions responded with two consecutive victories, taking down Saint Anselm, 837-592, and UAB in a tight match, 844-835.
- The cardinal and white faced Tulane in the fourth match where they would fall to the Green Wave, 986-745.
- The keglers finished day one with a victory over Bryant, 922-798, propelled by a 225 game in game one.
Day Two – Traditional
- The Lions went 1-4 on day two.
- Molloy dropped the first three matches to LIU, Stephen F. Austin, and Vanderbilt.
- The cardinal and white responded with a 837-727 victory over Bloomfield in the fourth match, but ended the day falling to Louisiana Tech, 942-775.
Day Three – best-of-seven Baker
- Molloy started day three with a tightknit seven-match battle against UAB. The Lions defeated the Blazers in the sixth game to set up a winner take all game seven, where they would fall, 182-181, and lose 4-3 overall.
- The Lions swept Bloomfield in its first elimination match, highlighted by a 203 game in game one.
- The win set up a rematch against UAB in the third match, but the Lions would fall to the Blazers, 4-0, ending the tournament in 14th place.
