Five Named Esports All-Conference

West Babylon, N.Y. - The East Coast Conference released the recipients of its All-Conference honors for the games of Rocket League and League of Legends this afternoon, with Molloy earning five selections, including four major awards.

The Lions highlighted the selections in League of Legends, taking home Top of the Year, Mid of the Year, and Support of the Year. Louis Catala (Inm) took home Top of the Year after being named Top of the Week twice throughout the season, excelling at both tank, carry champions, and finding key engages for the team. Kellen Marcella (Reso Blue) was named the Mid of the Year following three Mid of the Week recognitions. He has the second-highest gold per minute in the league and has shown he can bring out many unexpected counter picks such as Vayne into Galio. Molloy was also honored with Support of the Year to Ryan Mott (Zingblob). He has picked up the most Support of the Week awards throughout the season (3), has the third-most wards placed in the league, and has the most assists in the league (148). He has shown to be able to play many styles with enchanters such as Karma and Seraphine as well as engagers such as Rell, Alistar, and Galio. 

Molloy was also awarded the Defender of the Year in Justin Martin (Steazzy) in Rocket League. Steazzy is the team captain and scored 45 goals on 119 shots while adding 30 assists and 18 saves. Mark Alban was named to the Second Team in the position of Striker. Alban (Reversal) won two Striker of the Weeks, posting 60 goals on 135 total shots, converting on 44.4 percent of his shots on goal.
